Ipsos is a worldwide market research company that does everything from trending to surveys and everything in between. Ipsos is dedicated to a single line of work: survey-based research. Ipsos is divided into five areas of specialization. For the past thirty years we have been loyal to this unique positioning, which has made Ipsos one of the leaders in the research industry. They are kind of a big deal.
I have been involved with the glitzy fun side of marketing, public relations, sampling, promotions and wom for the last 10 years of my life and imagine my surprise when they asked to interview me fall 08 in Toronto for a North American Trend report! I went in to their office on Bloor and answered questions for about an hour and that was it. I didn’t think much of it until I got this email. It invited me to come to the Trend Observer presentation breakfast. ^_^
trendsetter! yay!
It’s really an honour to be acknowledged as an early-adopter in trends by such a prestigious marketing company. Merci! Thank you! Gracias!
Some of the consumer trends, as presented by Stephanie Cooper, the vice president of Ipsos Reid:
Trend 1: classic form + better
This trend is about taking a known form and adding features to make it better.
Polariods —— now with a printer!
90210 —— now with multicultural cast!
Vespa —— now with more power!
Trend 2: technology in action
This trend takes the connected @ home concept to what they call the open cocoon. This is the person who is on the go, no fixed address and always
mobile. Fluidity between work and life and not tethered to the computer
Trend 3: everyday spirituality
Finding that we own to much stuff and it impedes our happiness, clearing mental clutter and freeing ourselves. *read Peter Walsh*
Trend 4: iLead the way
This is amazing and it begins with experimentation, independence and self sufficiency. *read This book will save your life*
Trend 5: iImpact
Talked about the neon light unlighters in France and people who take matters into their own hands and setting an agenda. Like the TV show Dexter, Radiohead and Google’s project http://www.project10tothe100.com/
Trend 6: Responsibility
The responsible and conscious consumer who uses money as a tool and buying more quality items. Me and mine mentality, favouring national and local products
They are looking for Trendsetters in NY, Toronto, LA and everywhere else in the world! If you are interested in participating in the Trend Observer 2010, leave me a message and I will send you the right direction!

Shay Shay and I both love jumpsuits! Come fall, it’s time to trade in your tapered ones for the wide leg ones.
Shannae rocking a jumpsuit at WWW Literary Journey 08
me loving my jumpsuit
Jumpsuits are soooooo cute, unless you have to pee. But i love them anyway!
Strapless and wideleg is the way to go this season in jumpsuits. You will find them in various silk and jersey blends this season.
how gorge is this one from ASOS
the Yvonne Jumpsuit -awww, named after me
from the lovely Brazen Hussy
You are rock it even if you are short! Look how Eva does it.
There is something incredibly sexy about a one-piece. It is an easy outfit to accessorize and really stand out when everyone is in a cocktail dress. Great idea for all those holiday parties you have coming up!
Would you ever rock a jumpsuit?

It’s almost be 4 years since I bought Lia her first little bunny costume for Halloween which she hated. Last year, I thought it would be funny to dress Jacob up as a French Maid. LOL only for 5 minutes.
So since then dressing up Jacob for Halloween is never my priority but I was searching online and BHAHAHAHA is all i have to say!

The sun never stops shining in LA. I might have to grab this for what they call ‘Fall’ here. HA HA HA. It was 22 degrees this morning and I saw people wearing wool scarves, Northface jackets and sweaters and toques. No joke. I got my eye on this little number.
Kinda love it! Buy it here

Spa lovers and normal people alike know the benefits of drinking lots and lots of water. My grandma has a tough time with this because she said she doesn’t want to have to go pee all the time! Other people have a hard time with this because they don’t like the taste of water. Well, I love to drink bottle water, especially Dasani – it’s kind of sweet. But here are some great ways to jazz up your water and hopefully increase your water intake. Your skin and organs will thank you later. Hi cucumber and goodbye lemon!
Water is so so so important and here are some ways to help you drink more!
A very smart lady by the name of Kim Vallee is all about ‘Spa Water Recipes’. So here are some of her favorite recipes + pics
Cut 10 cucumber slices for one branch of fresh rosemary.
Put the cucumber and rosemary in a pitch.
Fill the half of the pitcher with ice cubes. Fill with water.
Let it macerate in the fridge for 24 hours before serving
Slice one orange.
Spread some lemon juice on 2-3 slices of green apple
Put the apple, the orange, and half a lemon juice in a large pitcher.
Fill the half of the pitcher with ice cubes.
Fill with water.
Let it rest 24 hours in the fridge before serving.
